Tenant Advocacy

Tenant Advocates Lisa and Renaye believe in supporting residential tenants to get a fair go.

Redgum Justice’s Tenant Advocacy program protects the rights of residential tenants under the Residential Tenancy Act. We assist with all areas of tenant disputes including representation at the Magistrates court in Eviction matters.   

Tenant Advocates report to a Solicitor and provide advice and support to residential tenants about matters including, but not limited to:

  • Bond disputes
  • Rent arrears
  • Termination of a Lease by the Tenant
  • Termination of a lease by the Lessor
  • Maintenance issues 
  • Security and privacy issues, and
  • General rights and responsibilities of the tenant

 

Our Tenant Advocates run Duty Lawyer services at the Armadale Magistrates Court every Wednesday, and support tenants to advocate for their rights in these disputes

This is a FREE service that is funded by the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry and Regulatory services, and is available to anyone living in the southern suburbs of Perth.
