Consumer Credit and Debit Issues

There are protections in place to ensure that Australian consumers get a fair go.

Redgum Justice’s Consumer Credit and Debt legal service is available to assist people who are struggling with Financial hardship.  

We utklisie the provisions in the National Credit Act (National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009) and the National Credit Code to ensure that loans that have been given to you were given fairly and were appropriate for your needs. 

 

Our Financial Counselling and specilaist legal team can work with you and your lenders to help:

  • Negotiate fair payment plans to help address spiraling debt
  • Help to prepare budgets and money management tips to help you get ahead
  • Ensure you are receiving all of the discounts and benefits you are entitled to,
  • Advocate for debt waivers in instances where circumstances have changed significantly and there is no capability to pay, and
  • Address issues of irresponsible lending under the National Credit Act.
